One year on WordPress: Quality vs. Quantity

The 1st April marked exactly one year since I started this blog. I’m really proud of what I’ve written, what I’ve achieved and – above all – how I’ve grown and changed as a person in that time.

This blog has been a huge part of that journey, and I’m really grateful for that. Especially to all of those people who were so kind, welcoming and supportive in my early days on WordPress. It truly means the world to me.

At the start of 2016, I made a committment to post more on my blog. You may well have noticed that I haven’t been keeping up with that in the last few weeks! I’m sorry about that. Partly it’s because I’ve not been well, partly because I’ve been incredibly busy with real-world projects but mostly it’s because I’ve made a conscious decision to focus on one thing: quality.

I’ve realised that it’s more important to me that what I write is high-quality, meaningful and valuable than it is simply that there should be a lot of it. So whilst you won’t see as many posts from me, hopefully what you do see will be of significantly better quality.

More than anything else though, thanks for sticking with me over the last year. That so many hundreds of people enjoy reading what I blog means more to me than you can ever imagine. So thank you, and I hope you’ll stick with me in the future.
